A new lawsuit for Lindsay Lohan

The American actress and pop music singer Lindsay Lohan has got involved into another lawsuit. The 20 year old troubled star is sued for an accident that occurred in May 2005 when she crashed into van in an attempt to escape an over enthusiastic paparazzo. It is said that ‘A Little More Personal’ star was allegedly run off the road in Los Angeles by snapper Galo Ramirez on May 31, 2005 while she was making an attempt to lose the photographer in rush-hour traffic. But as Lindsay endeavored to escape in her Mercedes, she dashed with Raymundo Ortega’s vehicle in West Hollywood.

Ortega has now sued Lindsay for ‘reckless driving’. He filed a lawsuit on June 14, 2007 in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Ortega is also filing a case against West Hollywood’s ‘The Ivy’ restaurant for “serving alcoholic beverages” to the actress shortly before the accident because being below 21 Lindsay is not legally entitled to drink.

According to TMZ.com, Ortega in his case claims that Lohan has “a habit, custom and practice of racing and speeding with Mercedes Benz” and has received “several speeding tickets and been involved in several automobile accidents” as a result.

Earlier this week i.e. on June 13, 2007, it was heard that the troubled Lindsay is being sued for an October 2005 crash. And after a month she was charged with driving under influence after crashing in Beverly Hills and went to rehab right after that.
