Angel: Cameron not responsible

The American magician, musician, mentalist and actor Criss Angel has denied his wife’s claims that the 34 year old actress Cameron Diaz is responsible for the breaking of their marriage. Criss blasted at his estranged wife Joanne Sarantakos for accusing Cameron as a marriage breaker.

Joanne Sarantakos filed a divorce last month (29 June 07) at the Nassau County Court, New York. In the papers she called Cameron “other woman” in her hubby’s life. But Angel claims that he met Diaz at VH1 Rock Honors in May (07) and by that time his wife had already filed a divorce. Not only this, it had been a year that Joanne applied for divorce. Angel admits hat he had dated Diaz but also says that they are no longer in a relationship.

Angel says “The fact that (Sarantakos and her lawyers) have tried to use Cameron Diaz to accomplish their ends is a sign of their desperation. Here too they have their facts wrong and are attempting to mislead. “Anyone that reads the press can figure out the timeline. She and I went on four or five dates and there is no current relationship between us. “Cameron is a good friend and an amazing person and to defame her and myself and paint her as the reason for my marriage’s demise is factually inaccurate, ridiculous and just plain wrong.”
