Paris Hilton is a costly affair

According to TMZ.com, the heiress is quite expensive even behind the bars. Paris Hilton costs tax payers 11 times more than the average inmate. The 26 year old socialite who had stopped eating and drinking in the jail is costing the taxpayer more than 11 times what it costs to incarcerate the average inmate. In comparison to the average expense of $99.64 on an inmate, Paris is costing $1,109.78.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s department spokesman Steve Whitmore tells TMZ.com that Hilton’s tab includes medical treatment and staff associated with her requirements.

Hilton was sent again to Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California to finish off her 45 days jail sentence. In between, seeing Hilton’s critical state, it was decided that Hilton would serve rest of the imprisonment sentence at home with a monitoring device fixed in her ankle. However, if she had stayed at home, the jail authorities wouldn’t have been perturbed by the heiress’ expense, reports starmuscle.com.
