Rapper Busta Rhymes Busted Again

Busta Rhymes cannot seem to stay out of trouble. His latest run in with the law accrued yesterday when he was caught driving without a valid driver’s license. He was stopped by police after running a red light, to make matters worse the popular rap star was rude and obnoxious to the police who were gonna let him off without hauling him to jail. He reportedly verbal abused the officers by saying, “You know me. You know who I am. You don’t mean s***. You hide behind the shield. This is bulls***.” That is when the decided he needed some time in the cooler.

The Rapper had repeatedly ignored a summons to appear in court, which led to getting his license taking away early last month. Busta Rhymes, born Trevor Smith, Jr., has been in out of trouble the last year. His bodyguard was killed in a hail of gunfire last year at this time and he refused to cooperate with the NYPD investigation. In August, Rhymes beat up a fan which led to an assault charge.

The Rap star has had great success as he has compiled 5 Platinum albums and has even launched a film career. He has been seen in episodes of the Cosby Show, The Steve Harvey Show, and movies like Shaft, Finding Forrester, Narc, and Halloween: The Resurrection. Unfortunately, the only thing he seems to be good at lately seems to getting arrested or getting into fights. Just this week, he had been in court and refused a plea deal, which would have seen him behind bars for 6 months. Now, most likely, the Prosecutors and Police will probably want to throw the book at him for his latest run-in with the law.
